Starz Karaoke started in the Phoenix metro area in
1999 after a couple of years hosting with another
local Karaoke company. Lisa Godfrey had been
hosting for Tracy Gallagher of Tracy's Tunes for
about a year and we had built a larger music
selection and more karaoke systems than Tracy and we
split off forming our own company. Tracy was
wonderful and we did our best to make sure we took
care of her as we started on our own.
Since 1998 Starz Karaoke has
invested over $200,000
in Karaoke music and gear...
Since 1999 Starz has done
over 4,000 Karaoke shows
Our goal is always to give our customers the best
karaoke experience we can.
WE PAY KIAA MEMBERSHIP FOR
ALL BARS OBLIGATING TO A 6 MONTH CONTRACT.
THIS MEANS YOU WILL NOT BE HASSLED OVER COPYRIGHTS
OR MUSIC BY KIAA AND WILL BE SPARED IN ALL ACTIONS
TAKING PLACE AGAINST KARAOKE COMPANIES.
Bars are still responsible or
ASCAP AND BMI FEES. We can not pay them on
your behalf, but we have an escrow program that
will pay you $500 twice a year to help you with your
ASCAP and BMI programs.
Our President, Eric Godfrey,
serves nationally on the advisory board for KIAA
(Karaoke Industry Alliance of America), the
President of the
US Karaoke Alliance, and
President
of the AZ Karaoke Alliance which serve KJ's in
helping to better their business.
Eric is the founder of the
Karaoke2Night.com network of Karaoke listing sites
and all of our customers receive listings on those
sites at no charge.
Our network of local sites in
Arizona allow our clubs to come up numerous times
under almost every search term on the internet so
that your venue will come up all over the internet!
All clubs receive a free page
for photos and additional photo albums (if desired)
to advertise their facility and specials which is
linked via all of our Google, Yahoo, MSN and AOL
listings.
Our hosts are required to
finish a 5 step training process prior to hosting
shows. We cover sound theory, equipment,
rotation management, MC skills, music selection,
computer training and then they have to host under
instruction until approved to run solo shows.
We have backup hosts and
backup equipment ready in case of problems.. If you
have a host or any issue that is not working out for
you contact us and we will meet and work to fix the
issue for you!
We have become industry
leaders on legality in Karaoke and doing business
professionally and ethically.
We add new music selections
every month and are constantly working to improve
our music. We buy one copy of every track for
each system that we run... We are adamant supporters
in having 1 for 1 originals in all sets.
We were one of the first
companies using PC's to run our shows and we have
gotten the kinks out over the years so that all runs
very smoothly.
